2012 Community Development Grants - Open Soon

PapScreen Victoria recognises that local community health organisations are usually best placed to encourage local women to participate in cervical screening. Victorian community health organisations are invited to apply for a non-recurrent grant of up to $2,000 (including GST) to plan, implement and evaluate a cervical cancer prevention project that targets marginalised women in the community.

Applications open: Tuesday 13 March 2012
Applications close: Friday 23 March 2012

Department of Health (DH) has recently released funded places for the competency unit CHCCM702A - Implement goal-directed care planning which is a core /compulsory  unit of the Graduate Certificate in Assessment and Case Management (more information on the link below).

Nationally Accredited Qualifications in Health Consumer Leadership and Engagement

REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN
 
Health Issues Centre in partnership with the Victorian Quality Council will be offering these training programs once again for consumer leaders and health service staff in October and November 2011.

The Course in Consumer Leadership (22095VIC) provides consumers with the foundation skills to engage and promote consumer engagement in health services.

DOH Primary Health Care Planning Project 2011

The Community Services and Health Industry Training Board are Facilitating on behalf of the Department of Health, a project entitled 'Primary Health Care Planning Project 2011'. The second stage of the project welcomes applications from all PCPs for the training unit: ‘Implement goal directed care planning’. There are 200 places available. SCTT 2012 Revision: Single page, multi-item screening tool - Invitation to pilot

As part of the SCTT 2012 revision, a single page, multi-item screening tool has been developed for use. The tool can be completed by consumers or practitioners.

A pilot is being arranged to test the tool. HDG Consulting Group has been contracted by the Department of Health to conduct the pilot.

Agencies are being sought to pilot test the tool over the two week period 19 to 30 September 2011. Agencies will be reimbursed for participating.

IEPCP Team Completes RunMelbourne Half Marathon

Workforce Innovations Grant- Strategic Workforce Planning Project

Inner East PCP and HealthWest were successful in applying for an ICDM Workforce Innovations Grant, on behalf of a statewide PCP alliance. The proposed project aimed at generating an evidence-base for chronic disease training needs across Victoria. Click here for more information
