Neighbourhood Renewal
The Ashburton, Ashwood Chadstone Neighbourhood Renewal project is a five year community building initiative funded by the Department of Human Services and is part of the "Growing Victoria Together" agenda to reduce inequality in areas with concentrated public housing.
Neighbourhood Renewal is about residents, local service providers, government representatives and community organisations making joint decisions about community needs and working together on community improvements to tackle the root causes of disadvantage.
Improvements cover public housing, streetscapes, education, jobs, health, recreation, safety, fun festivals and more.
