IEPCP e-bulletin - July 2011

Executive Officer's first 100 days

I have now reached the 100 day milestone as new Executive Officer of the IEPCP so it is time to let you know where we have been in that period and where we are going.

Much of the time has been spent on reviewing the status, functions and structures of the Partnership as a whole, and on developing the mechanisms necessary to meet our governance responsibilities according to Department of Health guidelines.
Part of this review has included assessing our performance in leadership, efficiency, administration and management, resourcing, decision making and your overall satisfaction with IEPCP using the New York Partnership Self Assessment survey. I would like to thank those of you who have completed the survey. It is very important to get feedback so that we can constantly improve the way the IEPCP works. Our overarching aim is to facilitate collaboration and system/practice reforms with minimal additional impost on agencies and practitioners.
We have also spent time in reviewing our means of communication and how these might be improved to support effective information exchange. This includes revising the website to make it simpler and easier to use, producing a new IEPCP brochure and re-activating the IEPCP e-bulletin as a major tool for bringing you news from the many IEPCP partners.
Our focus moving forward is to continue to improve our operational performance and to build effective partnerships and capacity in the primary health care sectors within the catchment and the Eastern Metropolitan Region.
Mandy Geary
Executive Officer
