Healthy Partnerships with Kindergartens
This project was funded by Department of Health via Inner East PCP until 30 Sept 2011.
Background:
The Inner East PCP ‘Healthy Partnerships with Kindergartens’ initiative was aimed at undertaking health promotion work in early childhood settings.
This initiative incorporates two projects targeting healthy eating and physical activity in children aged 0-5years attending Early Childhood Services (Kindergartens and Child Care Services) within Manningham and Monash LGAs.
1. The 'Bright Start, Healthy Futures' project commenced in 2007 as an initiative of Manningham Community Health Service. It is now run in partnership with Manningham Council.
2. The 'Healthy Eating and Physical Acitivity' Project is an initiative of Monash City Council based on earlier promising work of the Manningham project.
